Magical Beginnings

Our shared passion for storytelling brought us together through the Miami Belly Dance community.

As we worked independently on our creative projects, we discovered a mutual desire to bring the voices of our students to life in a way that transcends dance.

With Valerick’s background in Comparative Literature and Alexandra’s in Visual Arts, we envisioned a production that weaves movement with narrative, each performance becoming a living story.

Our love for the art of storytelling infuses every element of our work, where each dance is like a chapter, introducing new characters and their unique journeys.

Together, we’ve created something magical—a dance production that celebrates the power of stories, told through the graceful language of movement.

Who we are…

Belly Dance Stories is a year-long multimedia production with theater shows, performer development labs, an engaging podcast, literature, and more.

We are dedicated to sharing real stories from the every-day women in our community who have been empowered through the art of Belly Dance, Raqs Sharki. We are a tribe of artists, enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals, making noise with pride and sisterhood!

Under the guidance and direction of Alexandra Molina and Valerick Molinary, our initiative stands as a distinctive vehicle for women's empowerment, seeking to forge a deeper connection between performers and audiences while fostering compassion and dialogue.

We believe that the art of Belly Dance unlocks deep wisdom within ourselves and empowers us with the confidence to tell our tales. In the theater our artists create powerful and connective performances that will bring chills down your spine, spark joy in your belly, and leave you with an experience you won’t want to miss.

In our Online Studio and annual Fall Performer Development Dance Lab, you will learn how to re-invent your artistry and grow like never before.
